The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Pottstown-Limerick is looking for a highly motivated Director of Sales.
The DOS will head up all sales efforts for the newest Marriott product in the Pottstown / Valley Forge market. Marriott experience/background is preferred, but not required. This is a market based/driven position, which requires the DOS to be in the local community, building relationships with local contacts. If you do not enjoy outside sales, this position is not for you!

Requirements:
Candidate will responsible for all sales/marketing of new accounts and maintenance of existing transient, group, and meeting room business along with advertising tasks, public relations and administrative reporting.
Qualified individuals will possess an ability to develop and maintain top accounts and the aggressiveness to acquire new and competitor accounts. Candidates must be tenacious when it comes to getting an account, passionate about winning, be able to develop and implement sales strategies in concert with hotel goals. We are seeking a savvy individual. The candidate will report to the General Manager and Management Company.
Candidates should also have solid understanding of the Pottstown Limerick Rt. 422 corridor market, business mix, and competitive properties. The candidate we seek will possess 3 to 4 years of proven experience in hospitality sales, be highly motivated - a desire to be first in the market, exhibit excellent communication skills, be well organized, detailed and self-motivated .
A strong concentration on outside sales is an absolute job requirement.
Position is accountable to market performance and potential performance, as well as, budget, forecast and target goals, company sales audits and brand sales audits. DOS will be also be responsible to participate in Revenue Management calls.
Compensation includes performance-based bonuses.
This position is open to current Directors of Sales or, Sales Managers ready and capable of assuming the next step in their career.

Must be able to multi-task
Local market knowledge preferred, but not required
Marriott limited service / select service preferred, but not required
